Our main celebration was Christmas Eve, and was just a lovely, lovely evening. The stockings were very definitely hung by the chimney with care.
There were many lovely gifts exchanged, but the best present of all was that Dearest Daughter was asked by her Beloved to marry him. Hubby and I are thrilled beyond words at this exciting and welcome event. The two of them just glowed all evening, bless them.
Dearest Daughter's Beloved also gave her a Siamese Kitten for Xmas. She is just gorgeous and I can't wait to meet her.
Poor Pregnant One is really suffering with the Discomforts of Pregnancy. Six weeks to go. She and George snuggled on the couch--
while everyone else played dominoes (Mexican Train)
Food was great. We had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of lasagna, salad and French bread. My mom brought one of her delicious pecan pies, and we also had ice cream with seasonal toppings of peppermint candy bits, chopped up chocolate bar/peanut butter fudge and nuts. There wasn't a drop, smidge or morsel left.
My Sweet Hubby was a good helper in the kitchen as usual:
Merry Xmas everyone! Hope your holiday is a lovely one filled with peace, love and family!
