It's hard to believe it's been over a month since I posted last. Let's see if I can catch up and give a quick summary of everything that has happened in the last month. Then, it will quite evident why I haven't been posting, too!
House:We sold it, everyone was happy. We nearly killed ourselves; thank you to the Dear Sons for making it easier. We've had nearly three weeks in temporary housing, and we are so ready to move to the new house. Ah, yes, the new house. It's not just "a" house, it is "THE" house. Beautiful and perfect for us in every way. Day after tomorrow we'll close and start the unpacking process. This time we'll have professional help. Thank heaven.
We're going to grandparents! Need I say more?
Work: has been hard! I've been in charge the last four times, and they have been raising the bar for me, really pushing me to "do it all", not just be a "well, no one else could be in charge, so you get to be" mentality. It's not that I couldn't do it, it's just that no one took the time to show me. So it's been pre-e-ety stressful.
So knitting has been put on hold for the most part. The little blue Lacette shawlette is finished and sent on to the intended receiver. No thank you, ugh. I've been working on the Guinevere shawl, but found a bad flaw about eight rows back, and I'm still tinking. I haven't started anything else, as promised, I want to finish Guinevere before starting something else.
Not that I didn't know this, but. . . moving is a lot of work! Even being in the hotel and having to arrange for utilities and change addresses and buy furniture and appliances and etc., etc., well, there just hasn't been much time for knitting.
And poor old George, there's little room for play. He will be so happy to be in his new house, too!
