And later today or tomorrow I want to post some new goals for my knitting.

And, oops, this will be more than knitting goals.
Directly from my own Yearly Resolutions, or Well-Intended Intentions:

Hobbies/Interests
* Build a stash of baby layettes of at least three for the nursery. Begin knitting hats and booties and sweaters and quilts for a charity/charities.
* Knit for Red Scarf Project—only takes donations for month of January
*Continue working on scrapbooks.
* Host regular monthly social events.
-We need to have people over to our house more often. Maybe we can host a Stitch and Bitch, Book Club, Game Day, Movie Night, Investment Club, Walking/Running Club, Socialize with the Dogs, etc..

Taking them one by one:

* Build a stash of baby layettes of at least three for the nursery. Begin knitting hats and booties and sweaters and quilts for a charity/charities.

I'm not so sure how this will play out. What I had thought of in the past is to have a few layettes available for our Medicaid moms. I thought I'd like to make a simple quilt from all my beloved fabrics that I couldn't part with during the great purge earlier this year, a hat and booties and sweater. And maybe a simple pair of sewn pants, like blue jeans or something. I'd have to be in cahoots with others, and provide a notebook or something that each of us could write in, etc. I'd also have to shop frequently, which doesn't exactly thrill me. (When did I grow to hate shopping so much?)
I certainly have enough fabric right now to make several quilts, and enough yarn to get a good start.
FIRST GOAL: Go through all fabrics and yarns and make up ziploc bags each with a project in it, pattern, etc.
Which brings me to a project I need to complete--Chris's quilt. I need to pull this out, clean up the sewing machine, and FINISH this!

* Knit for Red Scarf Project—only takes donations for month of January

This is simple enough--I have enough yarn to make some really cute scarves. I can knock these out pretty quick. I have one ready now, and so will knit up two more and send them on.
GOAL: Find Red Scarf Project 2008 address, knit up two more red scarves, and send them by the end of January.

*Continue working on scrapbooks.

And, yes, that includes taking pictures regularly at gatherings. Thanksgiving, Robyn's birthday and Christmas all went by without one picture taken.
GOAL: Set up scanner and printer and my laptop to all sync, get Parallels so I can do my scrapping on my laptop, too. Figure out how to file transfer between my laptop and the desktop.

* Host regular monthly social events.
-We need to have people over to our house more often. Maybe we can host a Stitch and Bitch, Book Club, Game Day, Movie Night, Investment Club, Walking/Running Club, Socialize with the Dogs, etc..

This is something I've wanted to do for a while and it never really got off the ground.
I've thought of many different "clubs" to start--
*a teaching to knit group
*a family investment club
*a book club for the girls--and we take turns picking a book
*a play date for the dogs
*a movie night: we all either go to the movies together, or pick a movie and watch it at someone's house
*a walking/running club: we meet at a central location with or without dogs and kids and walk or run for thirty minutes. Timing is the problem, due to schedules, but it would be cool if we could even get together just once a week, say Saturday or Sunday.
*a game night: to play cards, board games, or dominoes.
GOAL: talk to Chip and see how we can make this work.
